Summary of the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Business & Data Analyst. In this exciting role, you will be responsible for gathering and analyzing data from our many data sources, uncovering trends and insights, and translating them into actionable recommendations that drive business growth for us and our clients. You will be a master storyteller, using data visualizations and compelling narratives to communicate complex information effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
You will report to the Head of Product, and join our fast-paced Data Science and Development team, but you can also expect to collaborate frequently with our Sales and Operations teams. Based in London, working 3 days a week in our Fitzrovia based office, with the other 2 days working remotely.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead our client facing campaign reporting, highlighting the value our business is delivering
- Unlock and share insights and optimisations with our Operations team
- Define and analyze business problems and opportunities using data from various sources, including our internal databases, external data sets, and more
- Write and execute SQL queries to extract and manipulate data for analysis
- Create clear, concise, and visually appealing data visualizations using tools like Tableau, Power BI, or similar
- Translate data insights into actionable recommendations and present them to technical and non-technical stakeholders in a clear, concise, and compelling manner
- Develop and automate data analysis scripts using Python or other scripting languages
- Assist with establishing new analysis techniques and processes to assist in improving core data quality
- Work cross-functionally (across product, engineering, sales, marketing, and operations) to understand company and client needs, and translate them into data-driven solutions
- Stay up-to-date on emerging data analysis trends and technologies
- Contribute to the development and implementation of data governance policies and procedures
Technical Skills
- 2+ years of experience in a data or business analyst or similar role
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data, a relevant field, or equivalent experience
- Intermediate knowledge and proficiency with SQL
- Intermediate knowledge and proficiency with data visualization tools like Tableau or similar
- Experienced at creating compelling presentations & reports in Google Slides or similar
- Experience interacting with cloud services, APIs
- Bonus - Knowledge and proficiency in Python
- Bonus - Experience with GIT for version control
